Ecological Sustainability
At Hotel Oscar, responsibility and ecological sustainability guide our daily operations. We monitor water and energy consumption and continuously develop ways to reduce them. We measure our property’s carbon footprint annually and aim to reduce it year by year.
Our restaurant offers vegetarian, organic, and locally produced products, both on the à la carte menu and at the breakfast buffet. We continuously aim to increase the use of responsible ingredients. The restaurant takes several steps to minimize food waste, such as careful planning of menus and ingredient orders, and by encouraging breakfast guests to only take as much food as they will eat. We do not use endangered or protected animal species as ingredients in our restaurant.
All waste generated at our property is recycled in accordance with waste legislation and waste management regulations, and we also encourage our guests to recycle.
We actively involve our guests in acting responsibly during their stay with us.

Economic and Social Responsibility
Our property is committed to using financial resources in a responsible manner. Through our responsible operations, we ensure the long-term viability of our business and regional tourism.
We make purchases and investments responsibly, and we inform our partners about this commitment, expecting them to act responsibly as well. We only use trusted, regular suppliers and do not support the grey economy.
Corruption is prevented through careful bookkeeping, clear staff guidelines, and the opportunity to leave anonymous feedback if corruption is suspected.

Sociocultural Sustainability
We treat every employee and guest equally and do not discriminate based on any internal or external factors. Our hiring criteria are inclusive and based on competence and suitability. Every employee is covered by work and leisure insurance provided by the company, as well as medical expense insurance through Fennia.
Accessibility is considered in our facilities, and we strive to continuously improve it.
Our property is committed to promoting and preserving local culture, and we actively collaborate with local cultural actors.
